Chassis Information
Our manufacturing process starts with E-350 or E-450 cutaway chassis from Ford. These chassis are chosen for their power and durability and come as either Single Rear Wheel (SRW) or Dual Rear Wheel (DRW). There are two engine options and several lengths available. LPG conversion is also offered for the use of alternative fuel (see more information about LPG conversion below). The chassis used in manufacturing and the modifications made to that chassis depend on the customer’s needs and preferences.
Ford QVM Program
We are proud to be a Qualified Vehicle Modifier certified through Ford Motor Company. This program requires that we undergo an audit each year to ensure that the bodies we build hold up to Ford's quality expectations. We appreciate Ford's dedication to excellence and are proud to be a part of this program. It is just one more way that we prove our dedication to the safety and comfort of our customers!
LPG Conversion
Coach & Equipment can modify chassis engines to run on Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG). This propane fuel option boasts several benefits.
- Reduced fuel cost: Propane is less expansive than gasoline.
- Reduced maintenance cost: Because propane burns completely, carbon build up is reduced. This means lower maintenance costs.
- Reduced emissions: Because propane burns clean, it is also better for the environment. Carbon emissions are reduced, and there is less danger in the event of leaks or spills because of low toxicity of propane.
